Million Dollar Script WordPress Installation

Table of Contents

Instructions #

After installing the Million Dollar Script WordPress plugin you may be logged out. This is due to it installing a MU plugin to adjust the cookie constants so that it can properly integrate. This may happen again if you uninstall the plugin. Simply login again and everything should be fine.

Once you are logged in you can follow the steps below to set everything up.

If you require any assistance you’re welcome to contact me or order the install service if you’d like me to do it for you.

First Steps #

  1. Create new pages where you’ll add the MDS blocks/shortcodes. See the Million Dollar Script WordPress Plugin for examples and recommended parameters.
    • Grid Page
      • Create a new page for the Grid.
      • Add the Million Dollar Script block or shortcode to the page.
      • Set the display method to AJAX.
      • Set the width and height to match the dimensions of your grid.1
      • Set the type to grid for the shortcode or Grid for the block.
    • Buy Pixels Page
      • Create a new page for Buy Pixels.
      • Add the Million Dollar Script block or shortcode to the page.
      • Set the display method to iframe.
      • Set the width to 100%.
      • Set the height to auto.
      • Set the type to users for the shortcode or Users/Buy Page for the block.
    • List Page
      • Create a new page for List.
      • Add the Million Dollar Script block or shortcode to the page.
      • Set the display method to AJAX.
      • Set the width to 100%.
      • Set the height to auto.
      • Set the type to list for the shortcode or Ads list for the block.
    • Stats Box
      • You can add a stats box to display available or sold pixels wherever you like on your site. You don’t have to create a new page for this but can add a block or shortcode anywhere you want to display it, such as in your header for example.
      • Set to AJAX.
      • Set width to 150px.
      • Set height to 60px.
      • Set the type to stats for the shortcode or Stats box for the block.
  2. Install WooCommerce and set it up if you haven’t already.2
  3. Go to Million Dollar Script > Options and enable WooCommerce integration at the bottom.
  4. Save the options at Million Dollar Script > Options.
  5. Go to Million Dollar Script > Admin.3
  6. Check that the settings in the Main Config and under Manage Grids are to your liking.
  7. Set a grid background image under Backgrounds if you want to.
  8. Run Process Pixels if you changed anything to regenerate the grid image. Usually this is automatic.
  9. Customize language or emails under Language > Translation / Editing Tool.4
  10. Set a new default currency under Currencies if you want to use something other than USD.

Notes #

  1. The grid dimensions will automatically rescale to match the width of it’s container element. If your theme isn’t wide enough the grid may appear smaller than what you set it to.
  2. If you don’t want to use WooCommerce you can manually enable payment modules in MDS Admin > Payment Modules. In that case you’ll have to create a thank-you page for each one you enalbe. You can do this the same way as the Buy Pixels page but set the type to thankyou and the gateway to the corresponding payment module you’re using. See the Million Dollar Script WordPress Plugin page for a list of valid values if using a shortcode.
  3. This link will only show up once you have saved the options.
  4. If you’re using WooCommerce it has some email settings of it’s own under WooCommerce > Settings > Email.
