Link on the user/index.php should be pointing to order_pixels.php instead of select.php

Link on the user/index.php should be pointing to order_pixels.php instead of select.php. This means that even though the Simple selection method selected, the Order Pixels link in index.php will be still pointing to the old select.php selection method.

Edit the user/index.php file.

Locate the following code:

 $label['advertiser_home_onorder'] = str_replace("%PIXEL_ORD_COUNT%", $ordered, $label['advertiser_home_onorder']);

And just below the above code, insert the following lines:

 if (USE_AJAX=='SIMPLE') { 	$label['advertiser_home_onorder'] = str_replace('select.php', 'order_pixels.php', $label['advertiser_home_onorder']); } echo $label['advertiser_home_onorder']."";

Adjusting the default image resize

How do I adjust the images on the ads to be my own custom size?

You can set the width and height in the code, edit include/functions.php file, about line 2521 where it says:

// Set a maximum height and width
$width = 200;
$height = 200;

Problem when processing pixels (Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Utime failed: Permission denied)

When processing pixels, the error message looks something like this:

Please wait.. Processing the Grid image with GD
Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Utime failed: Permission denied in /home/username/public_html/include/image_functions.php on line 143

Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/home/username/public_html/admin/temp/temp1.jpg' for writing in /home/username/public_html/include/image_functions.php on line 144

Saved as /home/username/public_html/admin/temp/temp1.jpg

Warning: copy(/home/username/public_html/pixels/main1.jpg) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/username/public_html/include/image_functions.php on line 21

Please give 'chmod 666' permissions to all your files in the admin/temp/ directory.

Additionally, please give 'chmod 666' permissions to all your files in the pixles/ directory.

Chmod 666 can be set using an FTP client, same way as you do during the installation. It will give the files all write permissions. You can also use the chmod command on the command line if you have got access to the command line via SSH. There is plenty of documentation about chmod available on the internet, and also our installation tutorial has some

Alternatively, for advanced users, you may set the file's ownership to the username if the web server and set 644 permissions to these files.

Map of Orders does not display in the Admin

Map of Orders does not display in the Admin. All you may see is a red cross / broken image.

Please try to increase the Memory Limit in the Main Config in the Admin section. Sounds like the script may be running out of memory.

Error 145: Can’t open file: ‘config.MYI’ (errno: 145) – or related error

The cause of this error is MySQL database file corruption. It can occur after the server is shut down suddenly – especially after power failure or if the disk is physically damaged. Luckily, this problem can be easily fixed in most cases.

You will need to run a MySQL database fixing operations to repair the tables. This is usually done by using the features in your hosting control panel.

For example, in Cpanel based accounts, go to 'MySQL Databases' page and click on the 'Repair' link next to the database name.

This can also be done from PHPMyAdmin, where you can select all the database tables in the database, and select 'Repair Table'.

(Note: The error can occur with other tables, not just config.MYI – depending on which table was corrupted)

Why is ‘My link text’ limited to only 255 characters?

When publishing pixels, a user is asked to enter a URL along with the description of the URL (My link text). You may notice that the link text is limited to 255 characters.

In the newer versions of the software, the link text was made unlimited. If you have an older version of the software, you will need to modify the database table 'blocks' to make the field unlimited.

The best way to do this is with phpMyAdmin. Log in to phpMyAdmin and locate the blocks table. Click on the 'change' symbol for the alt_text field. Then from the 'Type' column, select 'TEXT' from the dop-down list and click save.

(PhpMyAdmin is a MySQL database administration tool which is available on most services offered by various hosting companies. You can use this tool to manually manipulate the database & do database backups (export), and restore database backups.)

MySQL error: Field ‘Aboutme’ doesn’t have a default value

This article is outdated

When registering a new account, the following error appears:

Insert Into users(IP, SignupDate, FirstName, LastName, CompName, Username, Password, Email, Newsletter, Notification1, Notification2, Validated) values('IP was Here, I removed', '2006-06-24 09:37:00', 'Jonny', 'T', '', 'Jonny', 'password', '', '', '', '', '1')Field 'Aboutme' doesn't have a default value

It looks like you are running MySQL version 5 with the default configuration. To ensure that the script will work with MySQL 5, you can try any of the following:

1. Find your my.ini file and replace the sql-mode line with:

Please remember to restart MySQL after editing the my.ini file. The my.ini file is MySQL's configuration file and should be located where MySQL was installed.

2. Or, configure your system so that MySQL start with the –sql-mode="MYSQL40" command line parameter.

The script is compatible for MySQL 3, and 4, but requires the configuration change for MySQL 5.

MySQL error: The current MySQL user does not have permission to lock tables

When selecting pixels, you may receive the following message from the script:

Lost connection to MySQL server during query

Dear Webmaster: The current MySQL user does not have permission to lock tables. Please give this user permission to lock tables, or turn off locking in the admin

Your hosting account does not support table locking. Please go to your admin section and turn off table locking in Main Config (see MySQL settings).

Another (more advanced) option is to give locking permissions to the database user. This can be done using your web host's account management features. Some hosts do not support this option, for example a GoDaddy account will not let you do this.
