Lang table issue

Started August 8, 2010 by Liviu

Hi, Can you help me with that:at instalation I wasnt able to finish it because I always got an error, something like that : can't find table xxx.lang ... Then I created manually that table, copying the queries from install.php. It works, I got it installed but now I have an other error in admin panel and index headers and instead of left menu:Invalid language. Reverting to default language.Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxx/public_html/xxx/lang/lang.php:40) in /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxx/admin/admin_common.php on line 2What can I do?

Hmm, sounds like maybe you had some corrupt files or something. Try to delete and reupload everything fresh and then do the install again.

i done it but i have same problem - first error: Table 'xxxx_yyyy.lang' doesn't exist and instalation is stoppedMaybe files are corrupted already in installation kit?or a language/other files encoder type?

Well the download has been downloaded many times with no corruption reports. I have downloaded it and installed it myself. So maybe its something to do with your server setup then. Possibly a problem with MySQL or PHP.What version of PHP and MySQL is running on there? What OS is it?Is it a dedicated or shared server or run on your own computer? Are you able to access your servers log files? If so maybe you can see something in the error logs that could shed some more light on the problem.

MySQL version 5.0.90-community Server: Linux Apache version 1.3.41 PHP version 5.2.5 is a shared serveri can't acces server log files for mysite, the domain is an addon hosted domain and show errors only for basic domainI followed all steps installation steps 4 times but same resultMy OS is Windows XPI installed phpbb3 for example with no problems...I discover that instalation works fine using Firefox ...With IE I got same errors. After accesing my page and admin panel with IE... same errors, with Firefox is OK.

Hmm, interesting. So you are saying it works fine to install with Firefox but you are getting errors in IE during installation?

Yes, More, when I use Firefox all works fine, with IE I can't acces admin panel ... still same errortake a look here:http://www.lastarena.com/with IE and Firefox

Which version of IE are you using? I can't exactly test it in IE since I am on Linux. Maybe I can check on my wifes computer in a bit. She has the latest IE version. I have IE6 but you shouldn't be using that anymore.
