Error Updating English Language File

HI,Trying to update the language file thru admin panel and keep getting internal server error. I checked the server error log and it shows:[code][Mon Jan 14 20:23:18 2013] [error] [client 67.191.xx.xx] File does not exist: //500.shtml, referer: admin/translation_tool.php?target_lang=EN[/code]I checked on my server and translation_tool.php is in the admin folder..Any ideas?

This error just says your server cant find the 500 error page. There must be another error. I am wondering if maybe it's because you might have entered some characters like single or double quotes or something else it didn't like which messed things up somehow. If you can't find another error I will see if I can reproduce it and fix it.
No special characters, just letters. I even tried editing it and saving with no changes and got the internal server error. I ended up just editing the english.php
