Worthwhile?

I've just downloaded the script. Yesterday I contacted five vendors asking a 'pre-sale' question, didn't receive one replied. If these guys are no longer answering pre-sale questions it leads me to wonder if pixel advertising has had its day and even with a free script is it worth the effort. I would be interested in hearing comments.
