All installed, where is the index.html?

Have installed the script with no probs. Email working fine. Admin area all good. BUT host site does not show any index.html? The only thing i can find is the index.php in the admin folder. So when site add is put in browser, http 403 comes up. Where is the index located, or how can i create one? Any help or ideas be appreciated.
