    Hi Ryan,
I have difficulties in SMTP possibility setting in Main config. It seems there is a problem in “SMTP Authentication Hostname” item. Still I get the ‘could not connect to the host “smtp.fil-web.cz”: Connection refused’ error in “Outgoing email” section. “smtp.fil-web.cz” is my SMTP server. Could you give me any advise?
    Thanks, Filip

    Hello,

Are you able to connect to that smtp server and send mail from an email client such as Thuderbird or Outlook or something?

It seems to work ok for me when I tested on my smtp server so maybe you have the host values or port wrong or something.

Does it give you an error when you click the Test connection button?

Do you get any error messages in your web server error logs?

    Ryan

I sent the e-mails from “Forgotten your Password” service. I have attached my script smtp setting in Main config.

Hmm, that looks like your access log rather than error log.

    Hi Ryan,
I am sorry it looks like there is no error log at my disposal on the hosting.
Can you see any mistake in SMTP settings I sent in previous e-mail? Could you provide any suggestions?
    Regards, Filip

Well that’s rather odd. Have you tried switching the option for using POP3 auth before using SMTP? It should be the one just above the Test Connection button. What does it say when you click the Test Connection button anyway? You said it says no error but it should say something there. Maybe the library it uses for this needs an update or something. I will see what I can do for that at some point. Are you not able to use the PHP mail?

You should do what i did… call your host and get the info from them, that will assure that everything is right.

I have the same problem. I’m wondering whether @Fil has solved it. I have posted the issue here https://github.com/MillionDollarScript/MillionDollarScript/issues/32
